On 30th June, the Everest 2007 Team hosted the Vertigo Ball - an elegant evening of fun and good food to raise funds for the expedition and the Prince's Trust. Click here to view the programme.

The Ball was kindly sponsored by British Gas Egypt.

Before the Ball the team worked to transform the Westminster room at the 5-star Sofitel St James hotel into glamorous ball room with a mountain theme. Photos of the team during various training climbs adorned the walls and each table was named after a famous summit. In addition, Cotswold Outdoors had provided a tent display and "climbing mannequin".

After drinks everyone moved into the ballroom for a delicious dinner followed by the auction and prize drawing. With the formalities complete most people moved onto the dance floor to continue the night with live music from The Avengers, which continued on into the early morning.

A great time was had by all.
