Climbing & expedition experience

Other interests and hobbies?

Shooting, stalking, fishing, hunting, skiing, boats, sailing, travel, backgammon, bridge, Boodles, full contact origami and three daughters in two litters.

What makes you want to climb Everest?

I thrive on difficult personal challenges which are a change to competing with others and I look forward to the fitness regime. Last March 2006 I broke my cruciate ligament on Mont Blanc and needed a couple of operations to stitch it back together again. So I am not on this Everest climb and am just going to base camp. 2008 should see me on the top of Everest. :-)

What skills will you bring to the team?

Organisation, dedication, support, enthusiasm, encouragement and perseverance.

What motivates or inspires you generally?

My children, integrity, success, philanthropy and making other people's dreams come true.

What do you think will be the hardest part of climbing Everest?

Coming down!

What do you think you will miss the most during the 10 weeks on Everest?

My three daughters.
